CTA has well-established relationships with some of the most prestigious universities in Maryland, for whom we have completed hundreds of new construction, renovation, preservation, addition, and tenant fit-out projects. These projects have included administrative and departmental offices, a variety of classrooms and specialized teaching facilities and laboratories, wet and dry research laboratories, and systemic renovations.
We are especially proud of our ongoing relationship with the Johns Hopkins University (JHU), for whom we have been privileged to participate in the preservation and adaptive reuse of numerous historically significant buildings. Other JHU projects include the design of office and laboratory space for some of the most significant leaders in various fields of study, and hundreds of specialized laboratories for various departments of the School of Medicine. Responding to the time- and funding-based challenges often encountered in planning university facilities, we designed a new temporary facility for the University of Maryland Baltimore’s School of Pharmacy, including departmental offices, classrooms, a specialized, tiered, distance learning classroom, and teaching wet laboratories. |
